As in, when you finish the game, you basically understand what happened. ![]() I just what to know if it's all made clear eventually. It's fine and normal for a story to reveal the plot piecemeal overtime. I'm not saying that I need everything explained to me at the beginning. If I even understand who I'm playing or what I'm doing, then my investment in the game disappears. Fighting and slaying a giant monster can be fun, but it's much more engaging if I understand who I'm playing as, what I'm doing here, why I am fighting this giant monster, and what's at stake if I lose. One of the reasons that I don't like Dark Souls, or most Soulslike games, is that the plot is never made clear. Othercide Wiki is a FANDOM Games Community. The sort of game that asks you to be invested even though you only have a vague hint of what's going on. Sacrifice / Regeneration Dynamic Timeline System End of Turn Delay Daughters. It made me suspect that Othercide is the sort of game where the plot is obtuse, hidden from the player, or not explained. There was a lot of speech, characters going on about veils and suffering, and I didn't understand what anyone was on about. I watched a dude on YouTube play through the first half hour or so, which is basically the tutorial and intro. Does the game have a clear plot, or clear lore? This could also be important when sacrificing a Daughter to regenerate another as Daughters lose health in battle, the only way to heal them is through sacrifice. I'm interested in purchasing Othercide, but I have one question regarding the game that might make or break my decision to buy it. ![]()
